Extracting information and learning from textbooks, information books and digital information sources, from children's dictionaries and encyclopedias, children's magazines

Extracting information from the text based on the following elements: the text, illustrations, photographs and figurines, maps and graphs

Using the organization coefficients in the text to find the necessary information: title, subtitle, numbering, table of contents, paragraphs, highlights, footnotes

Identifying prominent structural elements in the text and understanding their role: question and answer, explanation, argument, reasoning, definition, example, operating instructions

Identifying the logical relationships within the text: problem and solution, cause and effect, comparison, contrast, chronological sequence

Identifying the main ideas in the text and the topic discussed in it

Performing actions according to written instructions

Distinguishing between opinions and facts in the text
Forming a reasoned personal position on the text
Locating texts for learning purposes with the help of familiarization with library organization methods
Finding information relevant to the subject being studied from at least two sources of information
Assessing the reliability of the information according to the type of source, according to the identity of the author and according to the date of publication
