Extracting information from the text based on the following elements: the text, illustrations, photographs and figurines, maps and graphs

Using the organization coefficients in the text to find the necessary information: title, subtitle, numbering, table of contents , paragraphs, highlights, footnotes, key and thematic sorting

Identifying prominent structural elements in the text and understanding their role: question and answer, explanation, argument, reasoning, definition, example, operating instructions

Identifying the logical relationships within the text: problem and solution, cause and effect, comparison, contrast, chronological sequence

Identifying the main ideas in the text and distinguishing between the important and unimportant details

Performing actions according to written instructions

Distinguishing between opinions and facts and identifying the writer's position

Forming a reasoned personal position on the text

Locating texts for learning purposes with the help of familiarization with library organization methods Locating texts in libraries on the Internet

Gathering information from several sources according to the academic goals

Assessing the reliability of the information according to the type of source, according to the identity of the author and according to the date of publication
